We are looking for a keen individual to join a client of mine in the Insurance space as an Account Manager!
Who will you be working with?
The successful candidate will be working collaboratively with a highly driven and enthusiastic team, working across all General Insurance risks and hands-on with the team. This is a diverse role where no two days will be the same. You will be part of a fun and energetic team!
What will you be doing?
- Describing insurable risk to your clients, designing appropriate insurance solutions and negotiating and managing the best deal in the global insurance market for them.
- Managing relationships with our underwriting partners
- Managing your own budget, sales plan and debtors
- Providing mentoring and coaching to more junior employees
- Driving new business development
- Liaise with other departments of the business to ensure the implementation of agreed strategies or updates/processes
- Communicate professionally with and develop relationships with brokers including some market-facing activities alongside the distribution team
What do you need?
- Insurance broking/industry experience of at least 5 years
- A proven ability to understand and meet a client’s needs
- Strong technical skills in coverage and wording review
- Experience with the placement and servicing of complex clients
- Intermediate proficiency in all MS Office products and Outlook
- Sales orientated with the ability to build a long-term pipeline to support new business growth
- Excellent oral and written communication skills both on an individual and small group basis
