Duxton Pubs is one of the fastest growing locally owned and operated hospitality groups in Australia. With 21 hotels in our portfolio, this is truly an exciting time to be joining Duxton.

In this role, you will be given the opportunity to work on various elements of the business including assisting with financials, operations, and contributing to best practice accounting management.

Your Key Responsibilities:

• Weekly Trading Reports, including Weekly Sales Revenue, Wages and COGS;
• Month end including Balance Sheet reconciliations and journal entries;
• Maintenance of fixed asset registers for venues;
• Preparation of monthly financial reports including balance sheet, profit and loss, variance reporting, and other reports;
• Liaising with venues to ensuring stocktakes are completed and performing monthly stock reconciliations;
• Business activity statements, instalment activity statements and other ATO reporting;
• Assist in annual budgets, and ongoing forecasts;
• Preparation of Annual Statutory Financial Statements;
• Assist with the management of cash flow;
• Assist Finance Officers with AP and Payroll as required; and
• Liaising with internal stakeholders and venue staff regarding financial matters.

About You:

• Tertiary qualifications in Accounting, Finance or similar field;
• CA/CPA qualifications or working towards highly desirable;
• Previous experience in an accounting role (one to three years);
• Ability to work independently;
• Intermediate Microsoft Excel skills;
• Knowledge of accounting standards and financial principles and practices;
• Outstanding communication skills with the ability to problem solve; and
• Strong attention to detail.
