Administrative Assistant

 

Description:

This is an exciting opportunity for a dynamic and enthusiastic administrative assistant to join the Learning & Teaching (L&T) Directorate at Eastern Health. This role will be integral in managing systems and processes to support our education team in the provision of clinical education and training in acute specialty areas.

 

The successful applicant will work closely with L&T leaders to coordinate administrative duties, including but not limited to database maintenance, reporting, room bookings, meeting documentation, scholarship activities, and applicant management for recruitment processes, including Transition to Specialty Practice (TSP) and Postgraduate intakes.

About You

 

The role requires well developed customer service skills, excellent organisational and prioritisation skills, IT expertise, and the ability to work under pressure whilst maintaining attention to detail.

 

To be successful in this role you will possess:

 

  • Experience in the provision of administrative and secretarial support services, including preparation of agendas, minutes and providing support to committees as required
  • Intermediate to advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office and M365 products (e.g. Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams, One Drive, and PowerPoint)
  • Highly developed customer service and interpersonal skills
  • Exemplary communication and organisational skills, with high attention to detail
  • A proactive approach to work goals and initiative to drive changes to improve service delivery
  • An ability to work effectively both individually and collaboratively as part of a diverse team
  • Prior experience within the healthcare industry (desirable)
  • Knowledge of medical and educational terminology (desirable)
  • Experience with online learning management systemes e.g. iLearn (desirable)
