Behaviour Support Practitioner

 

Description:

We are currently seeking an experienced and passionate Behaviour Support Practitioner to join our team as a subcontractor, with the potential for a permanent role in the future.

You will support NDIS participants of all ages by developing and implementing Positive Behaviour Support Plans that reduce behaviours of concern, enhance wellbeing, and align with individual NDIS goals. You will also conduct Functional Behaviour Assessments, monitor progress, and work collaboratively with families, support workers, and allied health professionals.

 

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

As this is a contractor role, applicants must have or be willing to obtain the following:

· Essential Requirements

· Suitably assessed by the NDIS Commission as a Behaviour Support Practitioner (Core, Proficient, or Advanced)

· Meet the requirements of the NDIS Positive Behaviour Support Capability Framework

· NDIS Worker Screening Check

· Working with Children Check and National Police Clearance

· 100 points of ID

· Completion of the NDIS Worker Orientation Module: ‘Quality, Safety and You’

· Registered ABN

· Professional Indemnity Insurance (minimum $2 million) and Public Liability Insurance (minimum $10 million)

· Current CPR and First Aid certification

· Minimum Bachelor-level qualification in Psychology, Social Work, Occupational Therapy, Counselling or a related field

· Registration with AHPRA, AASW, PACFA, ACA or TRBWA

· Demonstrated experience in conducting Functional Behaviour Assessments and developing Behaviour Support Plans

· Strong understanding of Positive Behaviour Support principles and restrictive practice regulations
