Building Supervisor

Description:

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Building Supervisor to oversee construction projects for our client's expanding company. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in construction management, excellent leadership skills, and a keen eye for detail. This role offers the opportunity to contribute to the successful completion of various building projects while working within a collaborative and supportive team environment.

Responsibilities
 

• Coordinate and supervise construction activities ensuring commercial projects are completed on time and within budget
• Oversee and manage subcontractors, suppliers, and construction workers to maintain quality standards and adherence to project specifications
• Communicate effectively with project managers, architects, engineers, and other stakeholders to address issues and ensure project milestones are met
• Contribute hands on work (as required) to minor repairs and maintenance
   

Requirements:
 

• Proven experience as a Building Supervisor or similar role in the construction industry
• Trade/builders background with strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and relevant building codes
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively lead and motivate a diverse team
• Ability to prioritise tasks, solve problems, and make sound decisions under pressure
• Ability for some but rare travel around the region (90% of works will be based in Mackay but 10% maybe be projects in the greater Mackay/Central QLD region)
