We are currently seeking a Credit Hire Consultant within Third Party Recoveries & Settlements team, who will manage a portfolio of third party credit hire claims from the inception of the claim to finalisation. Credit hire claims are received because of a third party engaging a credit service to recover costs for a replacement vehicle obtained due to a motor vehicle collision.

Reporting to the Team Leader, the Credit Hire Consultant will use a strong strategic framework designed to enhance third party experience and limit unfavourable costs/client outcomes.
 

• End to end management of a portfolio of credit hire files
• Assess liability and settlement outcomes
• Support third parties through their claims journey
• Negotiate with third parties, insurers and legal representatives including recovery agents and credit hire organisations
• Manage relationships with our panel of legal suppliers
• Follow settlements methodology ensuring company procedures and relevant legislation is adhered to
• Application of Insurance Contracts Act, General Insurance Code of Practice, and other regulatory frameworks.
   

What you’ll need to be successful
 

• Resilience & enthusiasm!
• (Preferably) experience in managing complex motor insurance or credit hire claims, including exposure to civil litigation
• Demonstrated ability to work autonomously and think proactively along with proven innovation and solution based solving skills
• Strong decision-making skills with a proven record of achieving desired cost and service outcomes.
• Clear ability to maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
• Highly developed written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong attention to detail.
• You will be required to complete background checks and proof of full working rights in Australia to be able to work in Insurance
