Energy Lawyer

Description:

We are seeking an experienced resources lawyer looking to accelerate their career within a wonderful team, in a fantastic organisation. The engagement is for an initial secondment (with a high probability of extension or permanent conversion).

Responsibilities
 

• Drafting, negotiating and reviewing a range of general commercial contracts and documents.
• Advising on energy regulation (Natural Gas/Electricity Law and Rules, legislation).
• Handling energy-related procurement, claims and disputes matters.
• Handling regulator investigations (ESC, AER, EPA, ESV, WorkSafe).
• Assisting the Regulated Networks team on a range of ad-hoc BAU matters.
   

Requirements
 

• 5+ years minimum PQE.
• Experience in the energy, construction or infrastructure industries highly regarded.
• Extensive experience in general commercial contracting and related matters.
• Ability to provide timely advice on a range of new and diverse matters.
• Ability to work cross-functionally within a team and liaise with various internal stakeholders.
• Must have full Australian working rights and be eligible to practice in Australia.
