We look forward to you joining the team at GHD as you take on this senior position as our Enterprise Environmental Manager. Reporting to our Australian based Enterprise Health Safety and Environment Leader, you will develop, manage and implement GHD's environmental strategy and inspire the global Enterprise to adopt practices that reduce our environmental footprint.
Working closely with other key stakeholders, you will play a central role in the messaging and delivery of initiatives that link to GHD's broader sustainability efforts. Key focus areas will see you;
- Deploying bold actions to implement global initiatives that support the delivery of our Carbon Neutrality Roadmap and other carbon reduction initiatives
- Contributing to the achievement of our Sustainability Policy and associated Risk Profile and overall Governance processes
- Developing our Inventory and Environmental Stewardship reporting systems, coaching key stakeholders to ensure compliance and support the pursuit of broader objectives
- Collaborating with other HSE professionals across the wider organisation to deploy initiatives that support Sustainable Development, the management of our Risk Profile and demonstrating Good Governance
- Ensuring proactive global communications to ensure that our people are set up for success to minimise our impact on the environment and support ongoing goals
- Establishing related KPI's and related Dashboards and other reporting tools to monitor progress, assess trends and utilise data to assist future direction in relation to Environmental Sustainability
Our ideal candidate will possess;
- Relevant tertiary qualification with a focus on Environmental Science, Sustainability, Business Administration or other related discipline coupled with a proven background in environmental management
- Detailed familiarity with international guiding principles and standards influencing sustainability and environmental management
- Proven leadership and skills coupled with proven capabilities in data management, budgeting and general reporting skills
- Well developed project and risk management skills with a proven ability to manage various projects across a geographically and culturally diverse organisation
- Demonstrated high level interpersonal and communication skills with the capacity to influence outcomes with people at all levels internally and externally
- Ability to build personal and organisational credibility and build beneficial internal and external relationships
