The graduate accountant is responsible for analysing financial information and preparing reporting including bank reconciliation, balance sheet, statutory reporting
The job
- Accrual’s calculations and entry
- Cost centre allocation
- Maintaining and updating Assets Register
- Financial management and reporting
- Maintaining General Ledger
- Bank reconciliations
- Inter-company reconciliation
- Managing month end processes: P & L and balance sheet
- Assistance in the preparation of year end statutory reporting
- Undertaking of any ad-hoc reports when required
- Abide by all company policies, procedures and processes
- Any other duty as reasonably directed
What you bring
- Bachelor of Business/Commerce/Accounting or related discipline
- Commenced or have an intention to commence CA or CPA qualification
- Solid knowledge of accounting and financial concepts
- Ability to effectively apply knowledge of financial and accounting principles and practices
- Demonstrated intermediate level computer skills and experience using Microsoft Office programs (particularly Outlook, Word and Excel)
- Highly developed organisational and time management skills
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills including:
- The ability to communicate effectively with customers, clients, colleagues,
- Written communication skills for the production of reports
- Understanding of the importance of confidentiality and the ability to maintain these principles.
