Description:
We are seeking a passionate Heritage Associate/Associate Director Engineer to join our Sydney office as part of our broader National Structural team of over 40 staff. You will contribute to the general management of projects, team and implementation of the strategic Plan of TTW. This role is to plan and conduct engineering products of a complex nature to meet client needs. This role will suit someone who is passionate about built environment and heritage architecture.

You will:
Heritage Leadership
- Apply engineering principles to devise and deliver practical and economical solutions to problems.
- Produce designs, documentation, specifications, fee proposals, reports and other documentation to meet client requirements for projects of reasonable complexity.
- Preparation of client reports in accordance with deadlines.
- Liaise with engineers and drafters to enable preparation of façade documentation.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients.
Project management and compliance.
- Management of medium to large scale projects including pricing, tender submissions, technical documentation (including schematic design), project scheduling and monitoring progress, resourcing, meeting deadlines and budgets.
- Assist in the establishment of discipline-related policies and procedures as directed by overall organisational controls.
- Contribute to the overall management and profitability of projects.
People management
- Guide colleagues on best practices and sharing technical expertise within TTW.
- Apply a deep understanding of all engineering principles and mentor junior staff including engineers, drafters and graduates.
About you:
This role is ideally suited to someone with:
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering
- Membership with Engineers Australia (required)
- CPEng / NER (this is a prerequisite for appointment to associate)
- Spacegass, ETABS, Rapt
- Strong background in structural / remedial engineering; nominally 5-8 years’ experience.
- Problem solving/analytical skills.
- Ability to interpret and communicate information of a more complex nature.

- Enjoy problem solving and is a fast learn
