Hydraulic Engineer

We are seeking a well-rounded Hydraulic Engineer to join our growing water team. This role can be based in either our Sydney or Melbourne office. This exciting opportunity will enable you to showcase and use their vast technical knowledge of conveyance pipelines, pump stations, and treatment plants and apply them to today’s challenges. You will have a chance to mentor, learn and work independently as a key team member.

This opportunity will see you providing solutions and service to clients off and on site, taking lead roles in project engineering and technical leadership. You’ll be able to build strong customer relationships and demonstrate your ability to understand our client's core business and ensure that services meet their expectations.

Experience working in a consulting environment delivering projects as part of a multi-disciplinary and multi office project team will also ne well-regarded.

You Will Also Have
 

• Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering or related engineering discipline
• Chartered Professional Engineer registration / or looking to obtain chartership
• Understanding of water/wastewater industry standards and best practices
• Broad experience in water conveyance and hydraulic engineering that include large diameter pipelines and networks, pump stations, treatment plants, and hydraulic structures
   

Strong Experience With Hydraulic Analyses Covering
 

• Pressurised pipelines and networks.
• Pump system curves.
• Fluid transients and design of mitigation measures.
• Gravity sewer, stormwater, and other gravity-driven flows.
• Treatment plant hydraulics.
• Open channel flow.
• Flow control and energy dissipation structures.
• Management of air entrainment.
