National Operations Manager

 

Description:

Reporting directly to the CEO, the Operations Manager will be responsible for overseeing multi-site operations, leading the team, and ensuring seamless day-to-day management. This role requires a strategic leader with a strong background in marketing oversight, team development, and operational efficiency. You will work closely with the Marketing, Customer Support, Training Team Leaders to align business objectives, enhance member retention, and achieve performance targets.

 

Key Responsibilities

 

Operational Leadership

  • Oversee studio operations across all locations, ensuring high standards of service and efficiency.
  • Work with Team Leaders in Melbourne and Canberra to optimise studio performance.
  • Manage operational platforms such as Asana and Ops Central, streamlining HR processes, onboarding, learning materials, and leave management.

People & Team Management

  • Lead and support a diverse team, including marketing, customer service, and studio management.
  • Foster a high-performance culture by providing guidance, support, and mentorship to the team.
  • Drive accountability and ensure team members are meeting and exceeding their targets.

Marketing & Membership Growth

  • Collaborate with the Marketing Manager to align marketing initiatives with business objectives.
  • Provide direction on membership sales strategies and retention initiatives.
  • Ensure marketing efforts are effectively driving client engagement and growth.

Strategic & Business Growth

  • Work closely with the CEO to implement strategies that drive business expansion and studio growth.
  • Ensure consistency across all studios in branding, customer experience, and operations.
  • Identify opportunities to enhance processes and improve overall efficiency.

 

About You

  • 5 years experience in an Operations role, ideally within the fitness, wellness, hospitality, or service industry.
  • Strong leadership skills with a track record of managing and developing teams.
  • Experience overseeing marketing plans and ensuring alignment with business needs.
  • Familiarity with operational tools such as Asana and Ops Central.
  • Ability to set clear goals, drive performance, and foster a supportive team culture.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Passion for health, wellness, and community-driven businesses.
