Occupational Therapist

Description:

Working in our Regional team based at our Broken Hill site you will be contributing to the planning and provision of a responsive client and family-centred service through our Outreach program. This involves assisting children, teenagers and adults who are experiencing sensory issues or challenges with their movement, play, personal care, sleep, vision, independent living skills (such as shopping or transport), participation at preschool, school or in the workforce. Facilitate our client's ability to reach their full potential and independence through assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of an appropriate management program or prescription of assistive technology.

About You

Required

This role is suitable for graduates, early career or experienced Occupational Therapists. AHPRA registration as an Occupational Therapist is required. To be successful in this role you will have the following skills and attributes:
 

• Experience or interest in:
  • Working in paediatric and early intervention
  • Adults with physical and intellectual disabilities
  • Children and adults with ASD
• Demonstrated awareness and experience to apply a range of clinical interventions.
• A commitment to continuing professional development.
• Must have DHS Working with Children (SA & NSW) and NDIS clearance (willing to get one)
