They focus on quality investments in core sectors - office, industrial, retail and social infrastructure. They own and manage a diverse portfolio around Australia totalling $88billion, including land-mark city office buildings, well-connected industrial & logistics properties, local shopping centres and social infrastructure assets, on behalf of their institutional, wholesale, and direct investors.
The Role
Reporting to the National Operations Manager Retail, the Operations Efficiency Manager will be responsible for the management of utilities, and the efficient performance and lifecycle management of assets in their Retail portfolio.
Key Responsibilities include:
- Managing utilities contracts (electricity and gas), including internal and external stakeholder relationship management, load and forecast management, connection register roll-ins/outs, network tariff reviews, demand management, and bill validation.
- Act as the relationship manager for retail with the utility providers and consultants.
- Managing compliance and operations of embedded networks, including the embedded network managers and operators (ENMs & ENOs), metering providers, tenant rates, load registers.
- Assisting the asset team with setting budgets and exploring opportunities for profit increase.
- Maintaining current and forecast load profile data at asset and portfolio level for ongoing management of the PPA.
- Acting as the Retail division Electric Vehicle Representative, providing technical and engineering support and advice to the regional asset teams.
- Providing input to Sustainable Asset Strategies (SAS), preparing portfolio and asset level business cases for targeted efficiency or sustainability projects, ensuring alignment with the ESG strategy, Strategic Asset Plans (SAP) and ROI’s.
- Driving adoption of external government funding opportunities.
- Assisting the National Operations Manager Retail for procurement, generation, and surrender of Large Generation Certificates (LGCs), Energy Saving Certificates (ESCs), Peak Demand Reduction Certificates (PRCs), Victorian Energy Efficiency Certificates (VEECs), and Australian Carbon Credit Units (ACCUs).
- Managing 10-year lifecycle planning to enable the optimization of CapEx and OpEx expenditure.
- Coordinating with internal and external stakeholders to prepare the National Initiative Budget as part of FY and CY budget planning cycles.
