Description:
The Plumbing Estimator will be responsible for accurately estimating the costs and resources required for plumbing projects. This includes interpreting project plans and specifications, conducting take-offs, obtaining quotes from suppliers and subcontractors, and preparing detailed cost estimates.
Responsibilities
- Review project plans, specifications, and other documents to understand the scope of work and project requirements
- Conduct material take-offs and accurately estimate the quantities of plumbing materials required
- Obtain quotes from suppliers and subcontractors for materials and services
- Analyze and evaluate quotes to ensure accuracy and competitiveness
- Prepare detailed cost estimates, including labor, materials, and subcontractor costs
- Coordinate with project managers and other team members to ensure smooth project delivery
- Track project costs and provide regular reports to management
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Plumbing Estimator
- Strong knowledge of plumbing systems and materials
- Ability to read and interpret project plans and specifications
- Proficiency in using estimating software and tools
- Excellent mathematical and analytical skills
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
