Processing Supervisor

Description:

Join our leadership team at our state-of-the-art prawn processing facility in Proserpine. We are seeking an experienced and hands-on Processing Supervisor to lead our operations and drive a culture of safety, quality, and efficiency.

This is a full-time, 6-month contract for a hands-on Supervisor based at our Proserpine farm (approximately a 30-minute drive from Airlie Beach). Reporting to the Production Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing and coordinating all daily activities within our processing facility.

Responsibilities
 

• Lead, motivate, and coordinate a large team to meet daily production targets and KPIs.
• Champion a strong safety culture, ensuring full compliance with all OH&S policies, including our 8 Golden Safety Rules.
• Oversee the end-to-end management of product flow through the processing facility.
• Manage quality assurance by meticulously monitoring product labelling, box conditions, and temperatures.
• Ensure all controlled documents, including hygiene sheets, QA sheets, and transfer certificates, are accurately maintained.
• Provide direct, hands-on leadership on the floor, maintaining high standards of performance and behaviour.
   

Role Requirements
 

• Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a management or supervisory position within a processing environment (FMCG highly advantageous).
• Previous experience in seafood processing is highly desirable.
• Proven significant experience in delivering key operational outcomes.
• Critical competencies in Leadership, Zero Harm, Quality/Results Orientation, Judgement, and Problem Solving.
• Computer literate with solid written and verbal communication skills.
• A hands-on, proactive leader who is not afraid to be on the floor with their team.
• Must have full Australian working rights and own reliable transport.
