NEWLY CREATED PROGRAM MANAGER ROLE

- Full time or part-time (0.8 FTE) role dependent on the right candidate

ABOUT THE ROLE
Western Chances’ has developed an exciting new Internship Program which aims to provide paid internship placements for our cohort of talented young people. We are looking for an experienced Program Manager who is up for a challenge to lead the development, implementation and growth of this 3-year pilot program.
Reporting to the CEO, this new role will work closely with the Western Chances team to develop and deliver the Western Chances Internship Program, in line with our vision of helping young people realise their potential.
In this role, you will be responsible for:
- Developing and implementing the Western Chances’ 3-year pilot Internship Program
- Sourcing Internship placements in businesses across Melbourne
- Recruiting and shortlisting scholarship recipients for placements
- Leading program development and growth, including working with marketing contractors to create program collateral and resources
- Creating a framework for evaluation and improvement
- Managing and reporting on the program budget
ABOUT YOU
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- Relevant experience in program management or human resources and recruitment
- Demonstrated ability to develop meaningful relationships with stakeholders, particularly corporate and business organisations
- A proven track record in developing and delivering new initiatives and achieving milestone targets
- Excellent communication skills, both interpersonal and written
- A problem solving attitude and ability to work with multiple stakeholders to deliver projects
