About Our Client

Our client is one of the largest Property Development businesses in Australia, with an expansive portfolio spanning over 40 years in the industry. They are now currently seeking an experienced & passionate Project Accountant with exceptional communication skills and construction/development experience to join their team.

Job Description

Reporting into the Project Accounting Manager, your responsibilities will include but will not be limited to:

• Produce project feasibilities for land project liaising with General Managers and Development Managers.
• Monitor and analyse the current project budget against actual and forecast performance to assist Development Managers with strategic business decisions.
• Cost of sales - Preparation of Estate, Stage & Land Cost of Sales Schedules - Monthly review the above-mentioned schedules.
• Monthly reconciliation of land development and capital accounts.
• Review and approve project cost invoices.
• Margin analysis & risk and sensitivity analysis.
• Assist with funding applications.
• Support Divisional General Manager and Development Managers as their financial resource.
• Profit & Loss Statements.
• Sales and Settlements Reports.
• Preparation of accounts for Joint Venture partners
• Preparation of annual budgets & analysis of Financial Reports compared to budget.
• Review processing of accruals, prepayments, and COS journals for projects.
• Contribute ideas that improve the efficiency, effectiveness, productivity, sales or profitability of the business

The Successful Applicant

You will be CA/CPA qualified with at least 3 years' experience in a similar position within the Construction and/or Property Development Industry. You will have exceptional communication skills and a background of stakeholder management and business partnering. You will have strong MS Excel skills and exposure to several Accounting ERP's.
