The Project Manager will manage the interface between the Department and major projects, ensuring their interests and requirements are communicated and adhered to. Your new role
In your role, you will be responsible for:

• Being the project interface between this Department and all other entities within it, other State Government Departments, Local Councils etc.
• Identifying project risks (risk management) and providing project approvals on behalf of this Department
• Reviewing designs/design management
• Contract management and contracts administration
• Attending committee meetings
• Managing contractor engagement and extensive stakeholder management with subcontractors, and contractors, up to Ministers.
• Financial management and the preparation of ministerial briefings

What you'll need to succeed
To succeed in this role, you will have:

• Tertiary qualifications in Project Management, Building and Construction, Architecture, Engineering
• End-to-end Capital works project management experience in the public sector – essential
• Strong stakeholder management experience – essential
• Solid contract management and contracts administration experience
• Knowledge and ability to assess risks in Project Management
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings
