Key Responsibilities
- Program Management: Take ownership of the full project lifecycle—from planning through to completion—ensuring key milestones, sequencing, and delivery targets are met.
- Cost & Forecasting: Maintain rigorous control of budgets, cost tracking, forecasting, and reporting to ensure delivery within financial parameters.
- Contracts & Procurement: Manage head contracts and subcontractor agreements, procurement strategies, variations, and commercial risk.
- Team & Site Coordination: Collaborate with site supervisors and construction teams to ensure day-to-day site operations align with program, quality, and safety expectations.
- HSEQ Management: Uphold and enforce compliance with health, safety, environmental, and quality management systems, including documentation, audits, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Engineering Leadership: Mentor and guide a cohort of project and site engineers under your leadership, ensuring strong technical performance, accountability, and career development.
- Design & Constructability Review: Manage interface with designers and consultants; challenge and influence design to deliver cost-effective, constructible solutions through innovative construction methodologies.
- Stakeholder Management: Develop strong relationships with clients, authorities, consultants, and subcontractors, ensuring communication is proactive and solution focused.
- Project Strategy: Identify opportunities to improve margin, accelerate program, and enhance delivery outcomes through commercial insight and operational decision-making.
What You Need to Succeed:
- Ideally you will have 7+ years’ experience in the delivery of civil construction projects locally
- Solid technical understanding of civil construction methodologies and sequencing.
- Strong contract administration skills and experience with cost control and forecasting tools.
- Demonstrated leadership in managing teams of engineers, supervisors, and subcontractors.
- High-level communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Proven success in delivering projects on time and within budget under tight constraints.
