React.js Developer

Description:

We’re seeking an experienced React.js Developer to support the frontend uplift of a JavaScript-based climate risk platform. This application is used to model the impacts of natural disasters on investment portfolios, and the role will be pivotal in implementing UI enhancements and bolstering security features.

Project Overview

You will work on modernizing the existing frontend, improving styling, and integrating secure authentication mechanisms like RBAC and SSO. The role emphasizes clean, maintainable code and comprehensive documentation.

Key Responsibilities

• Redevelop and enhance the current React.js frontend
• Implement Role-Based Access Control (RBAC) and Single Sign-On (SSO)
• Improve UI/UX using HTML5 and CSS
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders and developers
• Document frontend architecture and implementation thoroughly

Technical Requirements

• Strong proficiency in React.js
• Solid understanding of web application security and API integration
• Experience with frontend styling and responsive design (HTML5, CSS)
• Familiarity with authentication and access control methods

Engagement Details

• Initial Contract: 2 months
• Extension Possibility: 1 additional month
• Work Location: Melbourne preferred; remote work within Australia is fully supported
• Client Interaction: Minimal; internal communication only

Interview Process

• Round 1: Interview with internal technical lead
• Round 2: Interview with onshore senior developer

Required Experience

• 3–4 years of professional experience in React.js development
• Proven ability to deliver secure, scalable, and well-documented frontend code
