We’re seeking a proactive and driven Sales Assistant / Estimator to join our team in Perth (WA) and play a key role in supporting both our Sales and Engineering departments. In this dynamic role, you’ll be responsible for preparing detailed costings, compiling quotes and tender submissions, and coordinating with suppliers and subcontractors to ensure accurate and timely project delivery.

What you will be doing

  • Preparing accurate cost estimates and pricing for a wide range of projects across various sectors
  • Compiling and submitting professional quotes and tender documentation in collaboration with the sales and engineering team
  • Requesting and evaluating quotes from suppliers and subcontractors to support competitive pricing
  • Liaising closely with the engineering team to ensure technical accuracy in estimates and project requirements
  • Compiling Bills of Materials (BOMs) and supporting documentation for upcoming jobs
  • Assisting the sales team in developing client proposals and responding to enquiries
  • Maintaining up-to-date records of pricing, supplier contacts, and project documentation

 

What we are looking for

  • Proven experience in estimating, sales support, or a similar role within construction, engineering, or technical industries
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with internal teams, suppliers, and clients
  • High attention to detail and accuracy in preparing quotes, tenders, and cost breakdowns
  • Strong organisational and time management skills to handle multiple projects and deadlines
  • A proactive, solutions-focused mindset with the ability to work independently and as part of a team
