Senior Architect

Description:

We are searching for a versatile Senior Architect/Project Lead with experience managing architectural projects and teams of varying sizes across multiple sectors, including Industrial, Commercial, Education, Masterplanning, Interior Design, and Residential.

The ideal candidate will have a track record of successfully leading projects from design to construction, and a desire to grow as a leader within the expanding national practice.

Responsibilities

• Active role in the delivery and management of projects from all stages; concept design to contract administration
• Managing the day-to-day operations of projects
• Active role in building relationships with new clients and continuing relationships with existing clients
• Leading and working in cohesive teams
• Planning project delivery and resourcing with the leadership team
• Liaising with clients, consultants, and other external stakeholders
• Contributing to the ongoing development and mentoring of team members both in the office and the wider national Watson Young team.

Requirements:

• Strong design and technical acumen
• Strong Revit and design software understanding in order to run project teams
• Demonstrated experience in developing and delivering designs from briefing to project handover
• Demonstrated collaborative approach to projects, clients and teams
• Proven ability to manage and oversee multiple projects simultaneously
• Experience in client relationship management and development
• Excellent communication skills and ability to proactively manage clients, consultants, and internal team members
