Senior Electrical Engineer

Senior Electrical Engineer position with a large local government in Perth metro.

Your new role
We are currently working with a large City council in Perth Metropolitan in the search for a Senior Electrical Engineer to join their team for an initial 12 week contract, with potential to transition to permanent employment.

Electrical Engineering Design
 

• Develop electrical specifications for the City's lighting and electrical projects
• Conduct periodic reviews of the City's design and construction notes and ensure that the City's lighting and electrical design standard complies with Australian Standards, and update where required
• Complete AGI 32 and PowerCAD calculation for the City's electrical designs
• Design and develop AutoCAD electrical drawings for City Projects Coordinate and monitor the work of external design consultants

Electrical Project Delivery
 

• Develop project briefs including scope, budgets and programs (MS Project) and liaising with other departments
• Prepare tender documentation for lighting projects and undertake procurement processes in line with procedure maximising efficiency and financial performance of the project
• Manage construction contracts to ensure effective contractual risk and contract variation management
