Senior Estimator

The Utilities Strategy and Growth team are requiring a Senior Estimator to support the Substations Construction projects. The successful candidate will be a subject matter expert, able to manage multiple projects simultaneously whilst guiding and advising various stakeholders toward cost-effective and consistent estimation outcomes of project delivery.

Some Key Responsibilities Include

• Cost preparation and estimation for all aspects of transmission line construction.
• Review and analysis of RFT packages and subcontractor quotations.
• Negotiate and influence business solutions pertaining to costing, budgeting and contractual requirements.
• Prepare project bid status reports, provide/ implement tender solutions and ensure compliance across contract specifications and documentation.
• Utilise historical, market and industry data to produce pricing estimates and review actual costs throughout project lifecycle for comparison of accuracy of estimates.

About You

• Tertiary qualification in Engineering or equivalent trade knowledge, applied through Estimator positions in transmission lines construction.
• Knowledge and experience of estimating, project management, contract law, marketing and client liaison.
• Proficient in estimating software including Expert Estimator and Candy.
• Leadership capabilities demonstrated through mentoring junior team members, fostering a continuous improvement culture and encouraging knowledge sharing across the greater Estimating team.
• Proactive approach toward legislation, market knowledge, Zero Harm and stakeholder relationship management.
• Commercial skills and understanding of financial administration and project costing.
