Senior Financial Accountant

We are currently looking for a Senior Financial Accountant and Tax Officer

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Ensure full compliance and lodgement of local payroll tax, FBT, BAS and other tax returns.

• Liaising with external tax advisors and with the Australian Taxation Office (ATO)

• Support other tax compliance and project activities as necessary

• Preparation of monthly financial reports covering balance sheet, profit and loss, internal management and cashflow statements

• Support the Finance Manager in managing month end processes, liaising with business stakeholders, and ensuring accounting standards and practices are adhered to.

• Provide key support to the annual external audit process and group reporting pack.

• Contribute to continuous improvement of systems and work practices.

Skills & Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting/finance

• A CPA or CA Qualification will be a plus

• Minimum 5-year experience in a similar role. Big 4 experience would be highly regarded

• Demonstrated experience in tax compliance

• High proficiency in Excel
