Our client is seeking a highly experienced and client-focused Senior Financial Planner to join the advisory team. This role is pivotal in delivering tailored financial planning strategies to a diverse client base, including professionals, business owners, and high-net-worth individuals. The successful candidate will combine deep technical knowledge with outstanding client relationship skills and a commitment to ethical, compliant advice.

Key Responsibilities
 

  • Provide comprehensive financial advice covering investments, superannuation (including SMSFs), retirement planning, insurance, estate planning, and wealth protection.
  • Conduct thorough fact-finding and needs analysis to prepare compliant and client-focused Statements of Advice (SoAs).
  • Build and maintain long-term relationships with clients through regular reviews and proactive engagement.
  • Collaborate closely with accounting, tax, and advisory teams to deliver holistic client solutions.
  • Mentor and support junior advisers and paraplanning staff, fostering a culture of continuous learning.
  • Stay abreast of regulatory developments (ASIC, FASEA, Corporations Act) and ensure full compliance in all advice.
  • Contribute to business development activities by identifying referral opportunities and supporting growth initiatives.
     

Qualifications & Experience
 

  • Degree-qualified in Financial Planning, Commerce, or a related discipline.
  • FASEA-approved qualifications and CFP® designation (preferred).
  • Minimum of 5+ years’ experience as a financial planner, with a proven record of delivering high-quality advice.
  • Strong technical knowledge of investments, superannuation, SMSFs, risk insurance, and retirement income streams.
  • Exceptional communication and presentation skills with the ability to simplify complex strategies.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage and grow a client portfolio.
