Senior Graphic Designer – Team Leader

Zart Art is a leading school supplier of art and craft materials.
An exciting opportunity has opened up to head our in-house graphics team.

This role requires a person who is very driven, organised and shows great creative initiative as they will be responsible for Zart’s many publications (e.g. catalogues, teacher resources, marketing collateral) and the day-to-day management of a small team. This is a great role for someone who has more than 7 years’ experience in the field, is comfortable working in a fast paced, high volume environment and wants to use all their creative skills to help this growing business.

Responsibilities
Reporting to Head of Product, this hands-on role will see you:

• Successfully deliver inspiring projects on brief, within budget and in line with the creative direction of the Zart brand.
• Responsible for the design and creation of Zart’s print and online publications, catalogues, packaging and advertising material.
• Support and manage the Graphics Team
• Produce industry standard print-ready work
• Updating the Zart website using CMS and HTML
• Managing production schedule & budget
• Liaising with external printing houses and internal customers

Essential Requirements

• Degree in Graphic Design or equivalent
• Demonstrated experience in Graphic Design
• Demonstrated skills and experience in managing workflow in a fast-paced and high volume environment – a must.
• Previous experience producing content for both print and online applications including publications, marketing and social media
• A creative thinker & problem solver
• Worked in a Windows PC platform
• Highly skilled in Adobe CC – InDesign, Illustrator, Acrobat and Photoshop
• Demonstrated experience using the Microsoft Office suite
• Previous experience in managing a small team
• Excellent attention to detail
• Strong organisational, planning and time management skills
• The ability to juggle competing deadlines and priorities
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
• A pro-active approach and “can-do” positive attitude
