Senior Project Manager

We currently have an opportunity for a Senior Project Manager with extensive experience in the construction industry. This position will support the Riverina Redevelopment Joint Venture (RRJV), which is a 50/50 joint venture between Downer and CPB Contractors to undertake major upgrades and replacement of existing infrastructure and facilities.

This position can be based out of Melbourne / Sydney, although will require regular travel to Kapooka.

We are seeking candidates with a Security Clearance to be part of our team on the redevelopment project, covering the Albury Wodonga Military Area, Blamey Barracks (Kapooka) and the RAAF Base Wagga.

Responsibilities

The role has a broad remit, with key responsibilities outlined below:
 

• Deliver safe profitable projects to time, cost, quality and compliance dimensions.
• Ensuring contractual obligations are identified and understood.
• Ensuring project controls and reporting responsibilities are put in place.
• Maintaining clear communication with key stakeholders, including the community.
• Establishing and agreeing the design concept and ensuring it meets client requirements
• Authorise construction planning, programming and on-site completion schedules and liaise with construction manager over completion dates for different phases of construction.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant legal and regulatory requirements and all relevant Company and Group policies and processes.
   

Qualifications

What you’ll bring
 

• Either a recognised degree in engineering discipline or other relevant tertiary qualification (TAFE or similar).
• Member of Institution of Engineers Australia (IEAust) or Institution of Professional Engineers New Zealand (IPENZ) desirable.
• Senior level management experience in construction industry and relevant experience as a Project Manager.
• Commercial experience to include project planning through full project life cycle, reporting against plan and cost and manage and monitor implementation of risk treatment plans.
