Senior Security Analyst

Description:

My client is a well-known Global financial services business that is seeking a Senior Security Analyst to join its growing security team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in information security and vulnerability management, with experience in identifying and mitigating potential threats to multiple business units.

The successful candidate will have experience within a smaller "Greenfield security team" working independently with considerable autonomy, you will be mentoring junior engineers whilst at the same time being a key contributor to the business's internal security roadmap!

Responsibilities
 

• Conduct security assessments and provide recommendations for improving security controls
• Monitor and analyze security-related events and incidents, and respond as necessary
• Develop and maintain security policies and procedures
• Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and standards
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to assess risk and implement security solutions
• Keep up-to-date with emerging security threats and technologies
   

Requirements
 

• Understanding of Cyber security identification, prevention, detection, response, and recovery mitigation
• Understanding of risk management frameworks
• Excellent knowledge of Microsoft operating systems and applications in relation to best practice hardening and security configuration
• Security knowledge (Firewalls, Web, Email and End-Point Protection)
• Operation of security log collection, monitoring, alerting, and response technologies
• Working knowledge of cloud security risks and mitigation approaches
• Working knowledge of IdAM, PAM, Information Protection, Vulnerability Management,
