Senior Server Engineer

 

Description:

As a Senior Server Engineer, you will be responsible for the day-to-day operations and BAU (business-as-usual) processes within the Infrastructure Services team. You will provide high-level support for Windows Server operating systems, lead troubleshooting and escalations, and drive major incident resolution.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Support and maintain Windows Server environments
  • Troubleshoot and resolve escalations and major incidents
  • Provide technical expertise in Active Directory, DNS, PKI, ADFS, DFS, File/Print, and Group Policy (with AGPM)
  • Monitor, patch, and manage systems using Microsoft System Centre (SCOM, SCCM/MECM) and Intune
  • Apply cyber security tools and methodologies, including application whitelisting, host-based firewalls, vulnerability scanners, and device control
  • Contribute to technical documentation (SOPs, design docs) and knowledge sharing across the team

 

Essential Criteria

  • Windows Server expertise (60%) – Detailed understanding of Active Directory, Entra ID, DNS, PKI, ADFS, File & Print, DFS, GPO, AGPM
  • Systems monitoring & patching (20%) – Experience with Microsoft System Centre products (SCOM, SCCM/MECM) and Intune
  • Cyber security knowledge (20%) – Understanding of application whitelisting, firewalls, vulnerability scanning, device control
