The Digital Technology Delivery team at Swinburne University of Technology is looking for a Front-End Software Engineer to join their team.

This role will work under broad direction and partner closely with Digital Technology Delivery colleagues to develop, implement, and maintain user-centred front-end web solutions. Strong stakeholder management skills are required to assist the successful candidate to work closely with university stakeholders and IT colleagues.

The successful candidate will possess front-end web development skills and assist with the delivery of Swinburne’s Digital IT and Marketing strategies. The Front-End Software Engineer will be responsible for front-end development and support of Swinburne’s web presence and web-based applications and will regularly provide technical advice and solve problems.

About You
To be suitable for this role you will need to have experience in the below key accountabilities:

• Demonstrated experience working in a web development role for a large and complex organisation
• Demonstrated experience developing front-end solutions for Adobe Experience Manager v6.5.
• Demonstrate experience developing front-end solutions using Node, Webpack, Typescript and Vue.js
• Demonstrated experience using front-end libraries and frameworks such as jQuery, Node, Webpack, Vue.js and Bootstrap.

Qualifications

• A relevant degree or qualification in computer science, software engineering or web development is desirable with at least 4 years subsequent relevant experience working on complex projects or an equivalent combination of relevant experience and/or education/training; or an equivalent combination of relevant experience and/or education/training
