Description:
We are currently recruiting a Technical Director - Environment to work for a global consultancy with a portfolio of projects across Energy, Transport, Buildings, Defence and Water.
This role is only open to those who have delivered work in and reside in NSW. A willingness to engage in business development is required.
Responsibilities
- Support the delivery of multi-disciplinary projects through the provision of Environment and Sustainability principles, including impact assessments and approvals.
- Develop and implement comprehensive environmental and sustainability strategies for clients across various industries with a focus on the NSW Energy sector
- Manage the delivery of project commissions to provide clients with high quality service and value add, as well as identifying opportunities to increase value through additional offerings where appropriate
- Collaborate with clients to assess their current environmental performance and identify opportunities for improvements
- Stay up-to-date on environmental regulations, industry trends, and emerging sustainability practices to ensure clients are compliant and ahead of the curve.
- Mentoring team members within the environment team
- Manage subcontractors / sub-consultants
- Collaborate with interstate team members to assist in work-winning / business development.
Required Experience
- 10+ years’ experience in Environment domain within NSW, with a focus on Energy including Renewables, Transmission + Distribution
- Understanding of GreenStar / ISC Ratings, and a deep knowledge of government legislation and requirements.
- Relevant degree / qualification e.g., Degree in Environmental Science, Sustainability, Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Environmental Planning etc
