Test Automation Engineer

Description:

This role will require a self-motivated, focused, and flexible candidate to work within an existing FX and CCE Technology development team in Westpac Institutional Bank (WIB). The possession of a strong understanding of quality assurance within an agile environment and an open, collaborative attitude are key success criteria. A track record in driving test efficiency without compromising quality through automated processes is essential.

The candidate will undertake a wide range of responsibilities while supporting the FX & CCE business, including:
 

• Development of test automation solutions for the system and business processes under consideration
• Participate with the design, configuration, and development/coding of extensions/customisations to in-house and vendor applications’ automated regression and performance test suites.
• Work with other testers to improve testing efficiency through automation and improve test coverage.
• Run test suites and troubleshoot issues.
• Participate with the specification of business and technical requirements for vendor’s and internal developers.
• Assist with the design and documentation of technical specifications.
• Assist the team lead with the coordination between the application-vendor and internal business units as and when necessary.
